Get Organized LIke a Guru

Get Organized LIke a Guru

Getting organized like a Guru

Today’s #BloggingGroove Challenge is to create a FAQ post. I ask my cousin who is just getting started in online blogging and marketing, what has her stumped. She answered the following.

I need help getting organized? I have all these great tools and spent thousands of dollars on but I don't know where to learning how to use them!

1.      Inventory all the eBooks, products or full blown courses and make a note of what you have. IF you have to, open your word processor or grab a sheet of paper and create an inventory list do it.

2. Organize your finding into category folders on your hard drive:
I.E., Affiliate marketing, blogging, copy writing, seo, php, ect. This is going to save you a lot of time when you are ready to learn from what you purchased and implement them into your business.

3. Find the one product that you think you just have to learn from right now, Then make plans to spend at least 30 minutes or more a day with it until you have a good understanding of the lesson(s.)

4. Set a schedule.
At least try to read 20 pages a day and understand what you are reading. 20 pages is not that difficult for myself, for some this may be to much.  If your ebook is 200 pages then it will take you 10 business days to read through the material with understanding. Notice the theme here? You need to understand the information you are consuming.

5. Find one tip, trick or strategy and apply it.
Check it out and see if it works. Then try another. The one’s you don’t like doing discontinue them. Do what you like to do. This goes for traffic generation, list building, getting readers to your blog post etc. Repeat this step only after you have mastered one strategy.

6. Continue until you have every product or course finished. (Repeat step five with every course, of course). And the one’s you don’t ever open or read, put them on a thumb drive and then delete them from your computer.

If you are courageous, use the information you have spent your hard earned money on and re-invest it back into your business, by creating your own product or market someone else's product as an affiliate. You can even offer coaching from your experience, or create a 3 hour work shop and use those materials to create a product that you can sell.

Basically what I am saying is put what you have learned to good use. It's that simple.

Does anyone Kiss anymore?

Let’s face it, if you don’t kiss anymore you could lose your focus or worse your business.
Kiss stands for “Keep It Super Simple.” Yes it’s an acronym that you should use in life and business. Burn that in your brain, and when you decided to purchase an information product, a piece of software, or even creating a new system to use for your blog or business, ask your self is this “Kiss?”

Let me tell you a story. Last year I had a client that wanted a story telling set of email messages to promote his product. His reference was the sales letter for AutoResponder  Madness, a product that was created by Andre Chaperon.

The basic lessons are simple and follows with the kiss formula. It starts with 3 story telling emails. OF course if you don’t get the main system in place  which consist of 3 emails, then the rest can get confusing pretty fast.

My client didn’t have the product and just what he read from the sales letter he quickly wanted to ramp thing up and create all kinds of stories that would sale not only his products, but unrelated affiliate products as well.

I knew he was getting way, way ahead of himself, but I let him talk. By the time he was threw talking and ask me how much I would charge for the content portion his system. He fell through the floor when I quoted him my price. His ten minutes of brain storming if I was to implement what he wanted was well over $30,000.

That’s a whole lot of emails.

I finally talk him into the basic system of just three emails per product that he could cross promote. His promotions the last time I had talk with him were still running and making himself a good healthy level 5 figures a month information business on Clickbank.

He also has a more elaborate funnel system in place following the ARM system, but it didn’t happen overnight like he imagined. He kept things simple and took baby steps.

I hope this helps everyone that runs into any information overload, shiny object syndrome and Just wants to get your business going. Keep it super simple.
