Cash Partking Payday?

Welcome to What is Domain Parking? and Does it pay to use it?,  I can almost bet that if you are into buying and selling domains that this blog post is going to be of great interest to you. Or if you own a domain name that is just sitting around waiting for you to create a site around but now you have no intention of using the domain, this might help you recoup the cost of the purchase.

I am going to give you a new spin on this old concept but first...

What is Domain Parking?

The domain parking method is a little different than simply parking your domain name that has a php theme or portal page running native advertising. We will discuss these methods in a moment. Just like the picture above. You can use GoDaddy, Sedo or Parking Crew, to name a few for native ad type parking.

Domain parking has been a long time practice by domain investors to monetize a domain without building a website. The premise, is that domain investors who purchase one or more word domains would have a natural typed in traffic.

Let's say that you were to own "money .com" for instance, there would be a lot of  people who would naturally type that word into the navigation bar and you would get traffic. There are two types of domain parking they are monetized and non-monetized parking pages. Of course in this post we will look at the monetization of a parked domain.

How do you Monetize a Domain name with no website?

When you purchase a domain name from a registrar such as NameCheap or GoDaddy, the name is automatically added to their name servers and most will place a a one page (php) portal template with advertising that link to PPC ads relevant to the name or a coming soon, under construction page.

In order to monetize a parked page you will need to find a provider, hopefully a provider that you purchased your domain through or a separate reseller such as Parking Crew. If you registered your domain through GoDaddy,  you can add your domain name to their cash parking directory for about $5 a month. Sedo, will do this for free if you purchase or move your domains to them.

Big Discounts for Domains, Hosting, SSL and more

  History of Domain Parking

Trying to figure out who or what company started parked domain portals is just as much of a mystery and one that I will keep my ear to the ground and update you when I find out. I ask this question on namepros and received a couple of response. One domain investor told me ADEGRO an Italian based web provider. According to the article they have been the first company to park domains without redirecting out of network advertising in 2008.

Another investor, told me that he thought it was advertising .com (AOL,) was the first using zeroclick. I did a lookup on archive dot org and advertising .com was first captured in early of 2005.

The history of Domain Parking is vague at best. I believe that the person or company that put the first domain parking page online got their idea from web portals which are as old as the internet themselves and are still being used today.

My first domain name was a portal site that sold discount telecom services back in 2002.

Basically, portal sites are just informative link sites and generally, they have no advertising on them due to the fact that most links lead to a purchase of a product or service.

Does Cash Parking Pay Today?

It does and always will, you will need to send a lot of traffic to it on your own. That is the key to making any kind of money through advertising. Of course you should know that you will probably have a high bounce rate.

In 2011, Google.com added an identifier that removed parked pages from the search engine results due to the fact that parked domains did not add value to what people were searching for. This also included any kind of placeholder such as "under construction" type of page.

Before 2011 and Googles update, parked pages that were keyword rich such as "BuyAndroid. com" would rank in search results where people searching for Android phones and cases would naturally click on a result due to the fact, that the domain name had the word Android in it, thinking that the website specialized in Android phones and paraphernalia. Instead was an ad infested dictionary style portal page.

Google and most search engines want relevant content not advertisements which should be secondary anyway.

My Own Tests Of Parking Pages

I  got interested in how parking pages work for a few years now. I came into the game late after Googles 2011 update. I also tested a couple of different parking pages. The one above was a domain/under construction theme that was responsive.

When someone landed on one of my domains they were introduced with the name of the site a very brief description with a link to either the sales letter or to Godaddy auctions. In the footer were four columns. On each column I places other domains that I was selling and link them to my parking page, sales letter or GoDaddy auctions.

I ran that theme for about 3 months. My traffic was around 300 or so per month just using social media and forums. My bounce rate was around 98% for all three months.

With the same amount of traffic per month, this time I added blogging to the mix and sent prospect through a call to action to a page that I created in html. This was not a responsive site but old school. The text links sent prospects to a $7.00 clickbank product.

Even using a call to action from a blog post and explaining what to do at the portal site my bounce rate was still over 90%. These parking page type sites were not working the way I had hoped.  I abandon the parking page for a simple link style page like this...

I actually began selling a few domains names with a lot less traffic and my bounce rate drop to about 39%. I also use this link style approach on the domains for sale page here on this blog.

I check my traffic stats that were on the page before moving over to blogspot and here is what I found...

As you can see from the image above that I had 101 visits and I sold 5 domain names in total during that period. Not bad at all.

Parking Page Payday Conclusion

So far you have discovered what a parking page is and where to find good vendors for your own parking page if after reading this information you choose to do so. You also found out what works better than an average parking page from my personal experiments over the last two years.

Go ahead do your own testing and see what works for you. Having a good domain name that could drive natural clicks may pan out, or even driving traffic to your parking page may give you even better results.

I know a lot of domain investors still use this method. Remember Google won't index a parking page in the search results and you may not get your domain link to by other sites,  due to the fact that it is only a link based page with no credible content.

With all of this in mind Good luck with your Cash Parking Payday.

5 Steps to getting a stamped of Advertisers using Geo-local-direct

5 Steps to Getting A Stampede Of Local Business Advertisers Using The GEO-Local-Direct System

Back in 2009, I decided to add my service plumbing business to Google maps which is now Google business. Then in June or July of 2010 something pretty amazing happened, people started using smart phones and instead of hunting for their local phone book they "Googled" plumbers near me.My phone ran off the hook for several years after that and brought in over $60,000 worth of business that year alone.

Today, local businesses everywhere battle it out on local search. They hire webmaster to get their sites higher and higher in natural search and the smart local businesses also use paid ads until they do.

If you are a web marketer and know seo but are struggling to make it on the World Wide Web? Affiliate sales are dismal? Your latest kindle book that you thought was going to be a best seller has fallen flat? Maybe you need to take your skills off the "World View," and put it to better use locally. That's what this post is all about, reaching out to your local market and making a killing doing the same thing just for businesses in your area.

Even if you have struggled with geo-local domains in the past because you didn't have the knowledge this post will help you're business thrive .

So here is how the Geo-Local-Direct System works...

Step One: Purchase a good Geo Local Domain Name such as Austin Fire Places dot com. I like using NameCheap as my domain provider over Godaddy these days, not just because you will save a few dollars on a hand registered TLD around $9.00 but the back end is less complicated to use as well.

Step Two: Create or Purchase a good directory theme and create your content around the niche keywords. Create  page for advertisers to have leads back to their website or contact info.

Step Three: Get your page on Googles first page. This may  take a few months possibly a half a year to get to the top of search engines depending on your skill level.

Step Four: Set a price per local advertising page. Fixed price and or percentage of sales.

Step Five: Contact all the local business that match your keyword and talk about the benefits of having a page on your site. Tell them about the traffic your site gets and how many searches people in the local area search for your keyword.

Watch the video below and see if Geo-Local Direct is right for you?

Could Claude Hopkins Sell Domain Names Today?

What Claude Hopkins Can Teach You About Selling Domain names...

You may not know who Claude Hopkins is yet... If you could have the Father of modern advertising Claude Hopkins sit down with you and show you how to easily sell domain names, what would he say?  I am not him but I have studied every word he wrote over the last 15 years, I think what you will discover is what he would tell you to do.

Writing a direct response sales letters may be one of the hardest tasks that one has to do in when it comes to domain names. This is probably one of the reasons so many domain sellers fail. Writing a great sales letter that sells thousands or even millions of dollars of domain names, products and services may seem to some, to be an impossible unreachable goal.

Research is the first and most important step before writing your first word.

Before there was ever a sparkle in anyone persons imagination of communicating as we did in the later part of the twentieth century, with 54K modems or even our now high speed cable and satellite services, blue tooth and wireless connections there were catalogs, specialized newsletters, news papers and radio.

Even before television there was one man that shattered traditions and broke  sales records through sales letters for many brands we know today, such as the Campbell soup company.

The First Step To Selling Any Domain Name

Claude Hopkins, the father of modern advertising as we know him today was hired by Schlitz beer to craft an ad campaign that would rescue the company from its slump in the beer market. Schlitz at the time was running about fifteenth in beer sales and was in deep trouble.

Hopkins went to visit the brewery in Wisconsin. He needed to research more about Schlitz brewing process. Hopkins knew that it was impossible to sell without a thorough knowledge of the product. After the tour he ask the board at Schlitz, Why don’t you tell people about all these steps you are taking to brew your beer?

Schlitz’s response was all breweries brew there beer about the same way.

Claude countered with this remark.

"The first one to tell the public about this process will gain a big advantage with the market."

Claude Hopkins, launched a major ad campaign for Schlitz that described in detail the company’s step-by-step, brewing process for making there beer. The campaign was so successful, within six months; Schlitz beer went from number fifteen to the number the one beer in America.

Today, there is not much discussion about the importance of research. This may be the reason why many marketing campaigns fail. Whether your selling a domain name, physical product, a service or digital one doesn't matter.

Domain brokers on Warrior Plus have missed this important step in my opinion. There sales letters are boring, dull, and don't pitch any benefits at all for purchasing the domain name they are trying to pitch too.

But at least they have a sales message where many other domain investors just try to sale through domain parking as depicted by the image above from BlogStreet .com which is parked at Sedo and selling for over $4,000.

Let me ask, would you be open to purchase "blogstreet" for the price they want? For me there really isn't any benefit to purchasing it. But to a domain investor that has done their research this domain is a gold mine.

Why? Because they are looking to buy a domain that is old and has built in traffic. For the average domain seller who buys domains to flip I suspect they would try to sale it for a lot less and be very happy.

What about the prospect? Let's take look at the gambling niche for a moment. If you ran across a betting site let's say, (and I am going to pick on Solo Ads King, for the moment...)
you want to sell a bundle of 3 domains and we will call the bundle full circle betting. You couldn't sale these as a bundle on a parking page. You would have to write a sales letter, right? of course you would.

So our first step is ...

How to Research Our Domain names

Approaching research requires the same steps for most writers.

  1.  Know your product. For a writer to produce good a DM sales letter one needs to understand the product inside and out or it is going to show.
  2. What interest you the most about this product? This is a great time to do some brainstorming, mind maps, decision trees, and feature writing. Have a little fun doing this step.
  3. Conduct an interview session. Claude Hopkins traveled all the way to Schlitz brewery to interview and research more about his client and subject. An example of main questions to answer are:

  • What is in it for your prospect?
  • How can this benefit them?
  • Why should I buy from you? (There should be a way to stand out from your competition. This is where good hard core research comes in to play.)
  • Why should I pay the price you are asking for?
  • What is your guarantee?
  • How old is the domain?
  • What exactly do I get when I buy your domain name?
  • The biggest objection I have about this domain is…
  • The biggest question I have about this domain is…
  • what is he biggest benefit your proct will get by purchasing your domain name?

By interviewing yourself and researching to find these answers,  your sales letter will practically write itself!

Just in case you were wondering about the full circle betting bundle... Here is how I would present it.

Do you see the difference?

One needs to find the answer in research and position their offer with benefits, benefits and more benefits.

The moral of this story was to show you with just a little research, you can find the hidden gem that lies within any domain name, product and service. Once you have done all the research, your copy pretty much will write itself.

I would like to think, when Claude Hopkins walked out of that brewery, he had a little smirk on his face knowing that his campaign was already written and all he had to do was take Action.

ClickFunnels Founder Aquires MasterMind.Com for $600,000

39 year old Russell Brunson, author of DotCom, Expert, and Network Marketing secrets books, and founder - owner of ClickFunnels.com, recently acquired "MasterMInd.com" domain name for an enormous $600,000,00 on December 30th 2019. This was the biggest domain name sale of the year. Not only did Russell negotiate and purchase the domain,  he also gave it away to Tony Robins and Dean Graziosi as a gift for their upcoming Master Class... Now will be hosted on MasterMind.com and launch day will be February of 2020.

What Happened Next Might Surprise You...

Tony and Dean, gave back to Russell, by bringing him in as a partner for the Master Class. Of course the site is more than likely built using Click Funnels software and also I imagine Russell will be one of the coaches in the program. Now you might not know exactly who Russell Brunson is....

If you have been involved with internet marketing for at least a week then you probably have at least heard of Click Funnels since many product creators, and marketers use the funnel builder to sell digital products online and build a list of buyers that they can reach out to via email.  This is the whole concept behind Click Funnels which is kind of like attraction marketing and might be where Russell got the idea while involved in Multi-Level Marketing himself.

Most people know what a master mind is. If you don't the term master mind was first introduced by Napoleon Hill, in his famous and classic business book Think and Grow Rich first published in 1937. The idea behind the master mind is a group of business men gathered together as a sort of think tank where each person in the group gives ideas to certain problems others in the group maybe having with their business.

Power may be defined as "organized and intelligently directed knowledge." Napoleon Hill (Think & Grow Rich)

The Master Mind is actually the ninth step toward riches in the book and power is acquired by desire and transmuted into its monetary equivalent. Of course you can gain power through accumulated experience through books, videos, blogs and so fourth. And you can gain power through experiments and research which will give you first hand knowledge of power.

Power through a master mind principle is much more difficult to comprehend it has references to the spiritual forces or psychic power. where the meeting of the minds occur. "No two minds ever come together without creating a third invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind." says NH.

Andrew Carnegie's, master mind consisted of 50 business men which he surrounded himself with for the sole purpose of manufacturing steel. He attributed his entire fortune to the power he accumulated through his master mind. This type of spiritual force if you will is likened to a marriage. After a short amount of time, each spouse may finish each others sentence or know exactly how the other would respond to in  certain situations. For a master mind to really work each individual needs to be psychically present with others on a regular basis.

Today, a master mind is seen as no more than a glorified coaching program.

How To Compare Your Domain To MasterMind.com

Do you own a domain name? If so how would you compare "mastermind.com" to your own for a quick appraisal? Mastermind.com is 10 characters long and has the most coveted TLD extension the DOTCOM. The niche that mastermind.com I would consider it to be Self improvement. And it is a dictionary word as well.

Keep an eye on this domain name in the future for the simple reason that if someone else buys it will  be over a million dollars. Of course there is also a good chance of devaluation over time as with any investment. I don't predict that will happen with this domain for the simple reason that after February and the launch of Master Class. The metrics below will shoot way up with more backlinks and domain referers from affiliate sales.

How webmasters might value a Domain name

Now if you are an expert in search engine optimization you will probably look at domain names in a totally different light as domain investors. You would probably value the domain name with its metrics. Below semrush.com metrics.

SEMRUSH Gives these results for MasterMind.com

Organic search traffic

190
+46%
SEMrush rank
2.5M
-25.9%
Keywords
25
+4.1%
Traffic Cost
$458
+175.4%

Backlinks
1.7K
Referring Domains
89
Referring IPs
120

Of course your domain don't need to have the these kind of stats. It just needs to be a good name that is memorable, desirable and usable. The sale of MasterMind.com likely has increased the value of domains such as master-mind.com, mastermind.net, mastermind.info, mastermind.me and so on regardless of backlinks or traffic. The reason for this is in investing or real estate, your property will increase in revenue over time. Let's keep that point in mind. Domain investing isn't always about a quick over night buck.

An Interesting & Inspiring Story About Mastermind.com

Below is a video by Russell Brunson all about how he went from idolizing Tony Robins to becoming fast friends and business partners. He also discusses what he went through in purchasing mastermind.com

Fustrated trying to find a Domain name? Try this Four "P" Approach

The Four "P" Approach To Finding A Domain Name

Choosing a domain name for your  business shouldn't be a frustrating process. Instead it should be  one of the most important decisions you’ll make. Whether you’re creating a flagship blog for your business or registering a domain for your niche site, you need to take some time to find the perfect domain.

Look further at these following guidelines to help you find an ideal domain name for your site.

Purpose – First you’ll need to figure out the purpose of your website. Is it to establish yourself in a niche? If so, you’ll need to do some keyword research to figure out which phrases would naturally attract traffic. Are you buying a domain to sell a product? If so, your product name or a variation of the product name should be your domain name. Ideally, your website’s domain should either describe what the website is about (Shower-Shoes.com is all about fashiobable shoes you can use before or after your shower) or it should include keywords related to your domain (SellBitcoin.com is about selling bit coins and it includes a popular keyword phrase). Determining the purpose of you website will help you decide what phrases to use.

Presence – How important is it to you to have an exact keyword phrase in your domain?

For some websites, you may be able to use another similar phrase. But for others you may need that exact phrase. In the second case, you can try adding hyphens, prefixes or suffixes to your domain name if your exact phrase is taken. This way you’ll still be able to use the phrase and establish yourself in the niche. A general rule of thumb is to use no more than two hyphens in a domain name.

Potential – How big is your website going to grow in the coming months and years? Are you buying a domain name to build a niche mini-site that acts as a feeder site to your sales page? Are you looking to build an authority site in your niche? Your domain name choice should be determined by how much growth you are expecting for your website. A niche mini-site domain name can be a lot more specific and long tail than an authority site. For example, moneyhackingsystem.com  is a very niche specific domain whereas trafficreality.com has enough leeway for you to build an authority site.
BTW, these four domain names are available for sale on this page.

Price – You can get virtually any domain name you want, if you’re willing to pay for it. In most cases though, you’ll want to register an unused domain name. These domain names cost anywhere between $7 and $50 depending on what company you’re registering them through (I recommend GoDaddy. If you have a very specific business name and want to lock in a domain that has been registered, but isn’t being used, you can try contacting the domain owner. Look up the domain name owner’s information in the WhoIs directory and try making a deal.

You can also use expireddomains.net in order to find expired and deleted domains. Just use your exact key phrase in the search bar and literally thousands of names will show up. Once you find a good name that you like do a little research to find out more about the domain before purchasing.

All of these factors will come into play when you are choosing a domain name for your website. Make sure to carefully consider how your domain name will be used before you decide to purchase.

Domain Investing-Bite Size Bets

Welcome to Domain Investing: Bite Size Bets “How to Cash in Big Time placing small bets for  domain Investing." From this guide you will soon learn how to find great domain names without spending hours brain storming ideas, How to buy a domain name for pennies on the dollar,
Seven options to sell your domain And the best places to sell your domain for a quick sale, plus more.

It is my earnest desire that this guide will become your road map to success buying and selling domain names.

Let’s get started…

Domains Where to Start

I have heard it time and time again, “Where Should I Start?” Whether it be from new affiliate marketers, product creators, someone wanting to get started selling on eCommerce sites, or a laborer on a construction site, I always hear this same question asked.

This may not be your question, just in case let me answer it here and now, (who knows, you might be surprised by my answer.

Start right where you are. Yup, that’s my answer.

Let me explain…

It doesn’t matter if you know anything at all, or you have purchased a product or two about buying and selling domain names, and decided you wanted to get into this to make some money.

You start right where you are.

I have been buying and selling domains at the time of this writing for about six months. I have sold only two domains as an affiliate marketer and I have one that I own for sale right now. I have learned a lot and that is what I am going to share with you in this post.

You Start Where You are, with the knowledge you already have and keep an open mind. This business isn’t for everyone, and if you learn that it isn’t for you then you haven’t spent that much in order to learn that lesson. It is better to find out now than a year from now after you have spent a ton of money and time that you can’t get back.

Let' jump into the second step here...

How to Buy a Domain Name with instant backlinks and traffic

You may or may not have purchased a domain name before. Today, you are going to discover how to buy a domain name that you can sell for 5, 10, or even 20 times more than you have paid for it. That is if you do it the right way and choose great domain names.

The first thing you need to do is find a niche that you are interested in. The niche should be pretty broad like "Remote Controlled Toys" or "Bitcoin investing" or "Shoe's and Apparel."Or it could be Internet Marketing, Make money online. If this is the niche you choose check out our Low cost high profit internet marketing domains here.

Instead of running to Godaddy or Namecheap, I want you to go to Expired Domains dot net for this step.

If you expand the image above (click on it,) look where the red arrow is pointing just type in your niche. In my example I used shoes as my niche. Yes, I know the box is empty in the  example but let's just pretend okay?

Okay, our niche is shoes and if you look at the image above you will see a column at the far right that there are a lot of domains available with our niche in the green. Look down until you see $20 in red. That domain is "Shoes.Land" which is a pretty good domain name. It is easy to say, easy to spell and easy to remember. The person that owns the domain is selling it for $20 on Godaddy.

You may not want that domain name or you think you can think of a better one. That's fine but when starting out as an affiliate and our niche is shoes you want to find a domain that has traffic. Let's test out Shoes.land and see if they ever had a site on it or not.

Let's go over to my favorite Public Domain site archive.org and see if they ever used it for a site.

And it looks as if it did. On August 9th 2018

In order to see if they had a site just click on the date below like so.

This is what you should see.

Of course from Archive.org you see that there is nothing on the page. At least the owner of the domain had sense to have archive archive it. The reason it doesn't show up is because it is on Godaddy and for some reason the image and content doesn't show.
But at Godaddy you see this...

We have learned that this domain was purchased in August 09, of 2018. At the time of this writing it is one year and three months old. The reason I am spending so much time on this domain is because it is one word before the TLD dot Land. So if you wanted a domain that you could brand this is a good domain but not the best which would be a dot com or dot net.

Next let's check to see if they have any backlinks to it. Go to neil patel dot com and click tools on the header and backlinks.

As you can see there are no backlinks to this domain. Pretty much shoes.land even though it is a good domain there is no potential traffic coming to it. But the price is only $20 and dot land TLDs start at $19.99 on Godaddy.

I did find a one word domain name with a CO Tld. it was shoes dot co here is what I found.

On Archive the website was a domain for sale. But on Neil Patel site I found...

ShoesDotCO actually had 8 backlinks and two referring websites. The two referring sites are  dot gov and a dot edu domains. This is really good for a first try. For seo purposes those two refering domain mentioned are coveted. It will actually work for you as you build out the website like I  will show you in a moment.

What is a TLD?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_top-level_domains

A TLD stand for Top Level Domain. It is the letters that come after the dot. In this case "Shoes.co" Dot co being the country code for Columbia. But is available for the world to use. You need to watch out for country code TLD extensions because not all are available for people outside of a country to purchase. Click the dotco image above to see TLD's  by country.

So far you have discovered how to buy a domain name,  research a domain for backlinks and possibly natural traffic already coming to it.  Which free sites that I use to for quick research in order to uncover a lot of possibilities for your potential niche domain name.

Once you find your domain name go back to Neil Patel and type your domain back into the search. Use the Keyword and content feature of the site to uncover more content idea's for the next step.

Build For Profit

You’ve seen the cable shows of people buying real estate and then later flipping it for a profit, right? Well this is the same idea, except here you’re buying virtual real estate – Domain names-web businesses – which you flip for a profit.

Actually, there are three ways to do this:

1.    Build the sites and flip them immediately. This is where you (or your freelancer) create a site around a popular niche. You might load the site with content. You might even create a product to go with the site. Then you’d sell it immediately. Because the site doesn’t have any assets (like traffic), you won’t get a high price. But since you can build these sites or outsource them quickly, you can make money based on sheer volume.

2.    Build the sites and flip them later. Here you hold onto your domain investment for awhile, with the intention of building the assets for this site so that it’s more valuable. This includes doing things like:
  •  Building traffic to the site.
  • Building backlinks.
  • Getting the site in Google for important keywords.
  • Building a mailing list.
  • Showing evidence of profit.
  • Creating supporting assets, like a secondary blog, a network of related sites, and/or social media pages associated with the site.

3.    Buy the web businesses and flip them. Here you search for websites for sale, especially those that you feel are under-performing. You can then tweak them to make them more valuable, such as by:

Ô    Driving more traffic to the site.
Ô    Creating a sales funnel (e.g., creating multiple products to sell to customers).

Ô    Building a mailing list.

Ô    Tweaking the content, especially the sales copy, to create a higher conversion rate.

Ô    Improving the monetization methods. For example, if a blog is using AdSense to make money, you might add affiliate offers into the mix to see if you can make the blog more profitable.

One note…

Instead of going into this business yourself, another option is to buy into a partnership. You and your partner can split the costs, work, and profits as you see fit.

Now let me share with you three examples so you can see the profit potential of this domain Investment strategy:

Example #1: You buy a domain name for $10 and secure hosting for
$10 for the first month. You then hire someone to design a site ($100) and create a product ($100). Total investment is $220. You then sell the site for $300. You don’t quite double your money, but you can do this over and over again every week – and it’s hands free.

Example #2: You create the same site as in Example 1 for $220. Except this time you hold onto it for two months while you start building traffic and making sales. You sell it for $600, which nearly triples your investment.

Example #3: You buy an under-monetized site for $300. You hold it for two or three months while building traffic and sales. You sell it for $1000, which triples your investment.

So let me give you an overview of how to get started with this Domain Investing strategy…

Step 1: Find Out What’s Selling

As you’re quickly discovering, one of the keys to a sound domain investing strategy is to find out what’s ALREADY selling in the market, and then just offer the buyers more of the same. So in this case, you need to do your market research to see what kinds of web businesses are in-demand.

The #1 place for you to do this research is on www.flippa.com. That’s because this site is one of the biggest and most well-known auction sites that caters exclusively to people who want to buy and sell websites. And since you’re going to list YOUR “for sale” web businesses on this site, this is a good place to do your market research.

What you want to do is keep an eye on the “Just Sold” section of the site at  https://flippa.com/just-sold. You’re looking to uncover popular sites, based not only on high ending prices, but also evidence that other similar sites tend to sell well, too.

Tip: Do note that established, profitable businesses in any niche are going to almost always sell well. If you’re looking to sell established businesses, then you just need to work on proving that your site is indeed profitable.

Otherwise, if you’re going to only build minimal assets for a site, such as backlinks and minimal traffic, then you’ll want to make sure the site is a popular site in a popular niche, as described below. In other words, if the site isn’t already profitable, then you need to show your buyers that it has the potential to be profitable since it’s a professional site in an in-demand niche.

Specifically, look for:

Ô    Certain types of sites that are popular. Here I mean the overall monetization model and structure of the site.

Example: Is it an AdSense site? Lead-generating site? Blog? Is it a site selling its own product? Does the site make money selling advertising space? Is it an auction site? Does it sell a service? And so on.

Ô    Certain niches that are popular. Here you’re looking for sites in certain niches that almost always sell well, even if they’re new sites. Usually these sites are likely to be related to the bigger and more profitable markets, such as money and business, fitness and health, weight loss, self improvement, hobbies and so on.

If you build a popular type of site in a popular niche, AND you build assets, and, preferably show a profit, then you’re almost guaranteed to get a big return on your investment!

Tip: You can also check sites like:

Ô    Sedo.com (which focuses on domain names but does have full websites).
Ô    eBay.com (which tends to have “bargain basement” prices.

Ô    The “Complete Websites for Sale” section of WarriorForum.com (which tends to feature new sites, not established businesses).

Step 2: Build or Buy Your Sites

Now that you know what’s already selling, your next step is to either buy or build the sites you wish to flip. Specifically:

1.    Build sites. You don’t have to do this yourself. Instead, refer to Domain investment strategy #1 in this report, where you learned how to hire a freelancer. Everything you learned there applies here, except of course you’re hiring a web designer (not a product creator).

Tip: Be sure you choose a good, memorable domain name, which can add value to your site. Some buyers like EMDs, which are “exact match domains.” That means your domain name matches the exact keywords that your market is plugging into search engines. You can uncover these keywords by using a tool like WordTracker.com.

2.    Buy sites. Here you’re looking for under-monetized sites – those that you know you can tweak to produce a profit. You can look for these sites on  Flippa.com, of course. However, you may want to look at eBay.com, as these sites tend to be sold relatively inexpensively.

Note: Just be sure that you do your due diligence when you’re buying sites. That means that if someone presents assets to you, such as the site ranking for competitive keywords, you should verify this for yourself. And keep in mind that screenshots and other forms of “proof” can be faked, so verify where you can and only buy from reputable buyers.

Whether you’re buying or building sites, you’ll get a higher price for this piece of virtual real estate if you build its assets. See the list of assets I provided for you earlier.

Step 3: Flip Your Business

If your site is ready to sell (preferably its making a profit), then head on over to Flippa.com and open an account. This is where you’re going to sell your site.

Here’s what you’ll need to create your ad:

  •     An estimate of the going price. Then you’ll know what your starting bid should be as well as the reserve price and/or “buy it now” price. You’ll need to research similar sites on Flippa.com in order to get an estimate of how much your site will go for.

  •     Good copywriting skills. If you don’t have these skills, and especially if you’re selling a high-priced site, you may want to go to elance.com to hire a professional copywriter. Otherwise, study the successful ads on Flippa.com to see what makes for a good, compelling auction headline and advertisement.

  •     A good description of your site. You need to be able to tell your prospects in just a couple sentences what niche your site is in and what your site does. In other words, how does your site make a profit?

  •     Your site’s assets. Here you need to create a bulleted list of all of your site’s features. This includes the following, where applicable, but this isn’t an exhaustive list:

Exact match domain, memorable domain or one around which you’ve already built brand awareness.
Site age (older sites and domains sell better).
Professional web design and graphics.
Professional copy.

A product. A mailing list. Verifiable traffic that’s already coming in (and will continue).
      Ranked in the search engines.Backlinks.

Associated assets, such as social media accounts linked to the site.
Proof of profits and monetization methods.

Keep in mind that whenever possible, you’ll need to prove these assets. This proof may come in the form of screenshots, videos and access to your traffic logs.

Now you just need to list all of this information inside your auction ad. Basically, you’re giving your prospects a good reason to bid on your auction. You’re telling them why your web business would make a good site for them to invest in.

Then set your starting price (which you can determine based on researching similar auctions) and set the auction for at least seven to ten days. Just be sure to answer all questions promptly. And keep in mind that most of your bids and questions will come in the last couple days and even the last hour of your auction.

That’s all there is to it! Depending on whether you’re building or buying sites, and how long you hold them, you can double your money – maybe even triple it – using this Domain Investing strategy.

How to Add A Custom Domain In Blogger From GoDaddy in 5 Minutes

I watch this video twice and followed the steps it took to add a custom domain in Blogger from GoDaddy and it took just 5 minutes.

My problem started...

When I watch a completely different video that was shorter than this one. The problem with the other was that it didn't tell you to checkmark the redirect from Your-Domain to Name-Blogspot.com

You need to checkmark that box and...

You also need to add "Googles," 4 IP Addresses to your GoDaddy "A" record. If you don't the process will only be half finished and your domain will not show up as your Blogger blog.

When I did this only my favicon showed in the URL tab.

The rest still showed the GoDaddy page.

Tip

Watch the video and in your browser, open two tabs: One for your GoDaddy account and log into your Blogger blog that you want to add a custom domain in Blogger from GoDaddy.

Once you watch the video and follow the tips above you will have your custom domain on your Blogger blog.

Be patient. It took almost 16 hours for my domain to finally resolve.

Marketing your Custom Domain in Blogger from GoDaddy Tip

Planning on using Facebook to market your blog you may find this tip useful.

Facebook hates redirects and URL Masking, and they will consider it spam.

Basically, what you are creating by using a custom domain on your blog is a URL Mask. Your domain is still only parked on GoDaddy and Google isn't giving you free hosting.

So when I tried to market my blog using the Custom domain Facebook flag my URL as spam as you can see in the image below. You will see where I added my domain name in a group on FB.

Then once you try to remove the link you get this notification.

After that, I got to thinking...

How can you market a link on FB without getting flagged if you Added a custom domain in blogger from Godaddy in 5 minutes?

Well, the answer came pretty quickly...

Make a banner image with the URL in it like I did here.

Or...

Use blog promotion groups on Google Plus.

7 Domain Mistakes You Maybe Making

=======================
Today's we have a guest post by
a top Email marketer and PLR vendor This is going
to blow your mind, because it blew Mine...
=======================

 Domain Mistakes. Be Very Careful!

I am going to be very STRAIGHT forward with you as I know
that your time is valuable. In the last 3 years, every
single time I did a one-on-one call with a potential
client, they all made this ONE huge mistake.

What is it, Henry?

They gave me their businesses URL like:

http://henrygold.someoneelsebusiness.com

http://someoneelsebusiness.com/henrygold

http://someoneelsebusiness.com/?affid=35

Here is the truth:

When you present your business with a website above,
your chance of growing your business is ZERO.
Now, I am NOT referring to 0.1%. Instead, I am talking about
ZERO. NIHIL. NADA. Basically, you do NOT have any chance
of survival. WHY?

Ask yourself these questions:

A) When you use a replicate website, are you building
your own business OR someone else business?

B) When you use a replicate website, do you have 100%
     control OVER the content?

C) When you use a replicate website, are you able to
email to those subscribers that you receive?

D) When you use a replicate website, are you the ONE
who is in control of your business vision?

Absolutely NOT!

So, why is it that you choose to have a replicate
website? Only you can answer that.

The question is…

“Do You Want to Build Somebody else’s Business
                          (OR) Your Own Business?

If you do want to build your own business, you need to
have your own domain name, NOT just any domain name.
It has to be something like… “TwitterWorkshop.com”. It means
that it is a domain name that you have 100% control over.

How do you choose the right domain names for your business?

(1) It has to have an extension of .com

I know .net and other extensions are cheaper. However,
most people are being programmed to open .com type of
       domain name.

(2) It has to REFLECT what people envision in your company.

I know you want a sexy name such as: blablabla.com or
a short domain name with only 10 words in it. ;) I was
just like you. However, every single time I tried to
make it look cool, people will either forget about
my website OR I had to change to a new domain name.

What I am trying to say is… “Your domain name should
be something people will remember”. Look at
my domain name: MySuperCoach.com or Kaizenology.com.

I didn’t just choose it “just because”. It took me
more than one week to make a full decision on which
domain name would give the best impression to the
audience as well as FIT with my business vision.

(3) List 20 domain names that are available to purchase on
        a notepad.

Before you go ahead and spend your $12. You need write a
list of 20 different domain names that may fit with
your business vision as well as make people understand
EXACTLY what people are going to get from dealing with
        your company.

       Remember two things:
       (A) Your long-term business vision.
       (B) People’s perception of your business.

If it doesn’t fit with both elements, list another 20
domain name. This is very crucial. It is important that
you choose the right domain name for your business NOW
rather than REGRET it later on.

(4) Get your domain name with confidence.

Here is a key secret, ok?

If you really believe the domain name you have chosen
is the ONE you want to use for your long-term business,
make sure you also purchase .NET extension as well.

       Why is that, Henry?

       Three big reasons:

       (1) You can use the .net version to host your affiliate
products. This allows your affiliate recognize your
brand name from the link you give them.

       (2) To prevent unnecessary down time in your business.
Let’s say if your .com account is down because of
the web host issue, you are able to use the .NET
extension as a temporary website to SERVE your
             customers.

       (3) Access for the customers. WHY? Your customers should
be your main priority. It means that even though your
main website is down, customers who have purchased
from you should be able to download their products
             at any time.

The key in here is…

You need to have a domain name that resonates with your heart
as well your audience. Many times, I have had newbies who told
me that they have a SEXY domain name. When they give me the
domain name… “I was NOT impressed”.

Why is that, Henry?

LOOK. You may think of your domain name as if it is your
legacy that you want to lite the world. The truth is
people do NOT care about your legacy. People care about
what is in it for them?

Your legacy is the RESULT of what you do in your business.
This is what you need to put forward first in your business.
For that saying, IF no one knows my existence in the future
even after I reach eternity, that is okay with me.

My legacy is NOT to be known.
My legacy is to touch other people’s lives when I am still
alive and after I leave the human world.

The questions to you are:

(A) Do you just care about your SEXY domain name? (OR)
(B) Do you want to focus on a domain name that resonates
with both your business vision as well as people’s hearts?

Of course the answer to it will be “B”. If everything that
you do in business is all about you. There is no way you
will be in business for the long-term. In fact, you need to
make sure that your business will serve three types of
audience:

(1) Your customers.
(2) Your partners and strategic alliances.
(3) Your community.

If it does NOT serve these three types of audience, it is
likely to FAIL. NO EXCEPTION TO THE RULE.

(You really need to access it now. Wild Stuff!)

Not for me, but for yourself. If your priority is to
build consistent traffic to your website as well as
create a good income stream for your business, you
MUST own a GOOD domain name.

It is the POWERFUL formula I have been continuously
using to monetize from my business month after month
while receiving HUNDREDS of UNIQUE VISITORS every
day on auto-pilot. IT IS THAT SIMPLE!

(Well, I only work 2 hour a day)

It changed my life a long time ago.
It changed my business tremendously.
It has also changed my personal friendship with others.

I am very confident it will change yours as well.

Go for it.

Success is YOURS,

Henry Gold

How To Find You're Perfect Domain Name

What's in a Domain name?

Owning your own domain name is the easiest way to brand you and your business. Understand that a domain is your BillBoard on the internet and it is intended to sell You and Your Products or services.

It's all about professionalism.

But there is much more to it than that…

Having your own domain name is crucial for self-branding, tracking your advertising
results, and ensuring that your prospects successfully make it to your site instead of
someone else’s, but after being involved with domain flipping, I realized there is much to this process than meets the eye, when it comes to finding your perfect domain.

3 Critical Criteria's for your Domain name

As with any marketing endeavors you want to keep everything you do as simple as possible.
This includes naming your own domain and website. Below are 3 Critical Criteria for naming your own domain.

You will want to find a domain name that is...
  1. Easy to Say: Fewer characters are great but if it doesn't match up to your business then your branding will not stick. Let's say that your business is a glass repair company. You would not want a domain crack.com While this is a good short name the branding and the keyword aspect would not help you brand you and your business. Instead you would want a name that includes your keywords and location in order to get natural search traffic to your site. PittsburghGlassRepair.com would be more for branding your glass repair business especially if you live in Pittsburgh PA.
  2. Easy to Spell: The reason you will want to pick a name that is easy to spell is simply that, you might not always have a business card handy and having a name that is easy to say and spell will allow the prospect that you refer your site...
  3. Easy to remember: The prospect might not have a phone or pen available and having your domain name following this criteria will make getting them to your site very easy and simple for them to remember.
